Jennifer comes to 412 Food Rescue with experience in several sectors. After pursuing a PhD in History, she switched gears and worked in communications for more than a decade. Putting her storytelling abilities to work, she served as  a media consultant working with businesses, advocacy groups, unions, and nonprofits helping them tell their stories to media on a local and national stage. Jennifer has also dedicated herself to justice and the community through board service for a number of amazing organizations, including the League of Young Voters, Best Buddies Foundation, Grow Pittsburgh, New Leaders Council, and several board committees for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. She also co-founded the nonprofit project On the Spot to supply feminine hygiene products for girls in local schools who struggle to meet this need. In her off hours she is a passionate food enthusiast. Her work as Program Director of Food Recovery Operations at 412 Food Rescue combines her passions for food, economic justice, community service and environmental responsibility.
