Food Rescue

We work with food retailers to prevent surplus food from going to waste.

Transported by a growing network of volunteers, 412 Food Rescue directly transfers food to nonprofit partners that serve those who are food insecure.

Food Rescue Hero

Our technology platform is an end-to-end system.

It matches food donations to the appropriate nonprofits, coordinates a last-mile transportation network of volunteers, trains volunteers on food safety and tracks data and analytics—measuring impact on hunger and the environment.

Ugly CSA

Subscribers receive a weekly box of “ugly” produce and locally sourced items.

This program creates new markets for farmers via a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program for previously unsellable fruits and vegetables.

Hidden Harvest

Gleans from unharvested public and private city trees, orchards and urban farms.

Volunteer groups harvest produce that would otherwise go to waste and redistribute it to nonprofits that serve those who are experiencing food insecurity.

Cooking Matters

The only adult-focused, in-depth food education program in the region.

We believe that food education is an essential step in linking the farm to table disconnect and ensuring that the fresh food we deliver makes it to families’ tables.

Good Food Project

Led by Chef Ed Anderson, we stabilize and transform surplus food into healthy meals.

412 Food Rescue will soon create healthy, heat-and-eat meals, as well as shelf-stable products and other innovative solutions to ending food waste and hunger in our communities.

Product Innovation

We launch innovative products from food that would otherwise be wasted.
