We are very excited to announce our new partnership with UPMC’s Matilda H. Theiss Health Center!
Matilda Theiss, located in the Hill District, will be supporting households throughout the Hill District and South Hills.
We are incredibly thankful to have the opportunity to help provide healthy meals, prepared by our Good Food Project kitchen, to more of our neighbors facing food insecurity.
With the launch of our partnership on December 6, 2022, we will be providing Home Deliveries every other Tuesday which can be viewed and claimed using the 412 Food Rescue app.
If you are interested in helping deliver fresh food to the doorsteps of our isolated neighbors, become a Home Delivery volunteer!
Convenience and accessibility to food is a right, not a privilege. That’s why we’re mobilizing volunteers through the 412 Food Rescue app to deliver food directly to the doorstep of isolated neighbors lacking transportation, physical mobility, and relational support. Read more about our program here.
Download the 412 Food Rescue app to get started! Then click on the Home Deliveries tab from the menu which will prompt you to complete a quick, free & secure background check right from the app. The background check usually takes less than a day, and allows you to view and claim Home Deliveries. Look for the house icon as you view our interactive map to identify them!
Thank you for going the extra mile. The impact each home delivery you make on our isolated neighbors is compelling. We are so grateful for you!
