412 Food Rescue is happy to announce a new food donor partnership with Walmart in Bethel Park!
Our newly formed relationship with Walmart will provide much needed resources with Pittsburgh neighbors lacking access to food and much more. Through a combined effort of the Walmart leadership team at the Bethel Park location, our amazing 412 Food Rescue volunteers have begun picking up donations and delivering them to local nonprofit partners who serve the 1 in 5 Pittsburghers facing food insecurity. Surplus food, pet supplies, kitchen wares, and even clothing will be donated to 412 Food Rescue on an ongoing basis.
The organizations have been sorting out details to begin working together for some time. So it’s gratifying that the partnership is now fully operational, just in time for the upcoming holiday season.
We hope for great success with this partnership, especially as it represents the first Walmart partnership in Pittsburgh and could offer an opportunity to for more Walmart locations to join us as food donor partners.
