New Food Donor: Sodexo and the Riverhounds

412 Food Rescue is excited to onboard Sodexo and the Riverhounds as a new food donor!

Sodexo and the Riverhounds joins 412 Food Rescue in their commitment to reduce food waste by partnering as a new food donor with the food rescue organization.

During their first 2 months, they donated a total of 275 lbs of food from Highmark Stadium!

Sodexo and the Riverhounds have been part of a growing partnership with 412 Food Rescue, with a majority of this food has been going to the local nonprofit, Unit Recovery. This year we look forward to supporting them with increased food rescues to reduce waste from the stadium! We are also excited about the growing prospect of increased partnerships to help elevate each other’s organizations throughout the season. Be on the lookout for more information throughout the season!

We’re looking for volunteers!

We will have sporadic rescues the day or two after each home game, so be on the lookout for one time rescues from Sodexo and the Riverhounds on the 412 Food Rescue app.

We look forward to our continued work with Sodexo and the Riverhounds, and are excited to leverage this partnership to not only reduce food waste, but increase food access in the Greater Pittsburgh region!
