Our fundraising partnerships range from large-scale fundraising events to small-scale digital promotions, each contributing invaluable awareness of the work we do to end hunger and food waste. Since 2015, the Musicians of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra have been uniquely pitching in to help unload our trucks, distribute donated fresh food into grocery bags and individually pitch in to create Pop-Up concerts as our trucks make deliveries to larger communities.
Called “Body and Soul,” the idea was to find ways of “teaming up to meet the basic needs of body and soul by providing food and music simultaneously. And bringing music into the community is a long standing passion for our members,” symphony violinist and founder of the Body and Soul collaboration, Lorien Benet Hart.
