In an exciting development, our team has joined forces with the Hilltop Alliance, a community-driven organization, to launch a new Home Delivery partnership aimed at providing fresh food to our housebound neighbors in the Allentown neighborhood this summer.
With the program set to kick off on June 9th, this partnership promises to make a positive impact on the lives of our community members in need throughout the summer. We are hoping to secure a volunteer interested in helping complete this new Home Delivery.
One of the key highlights of this collaboration is the introduction of “Fresh Fridays”. Every second Friday of the month, a Home Delivery program volunteer will have an exclusive opportunity to serve 3 local households with fresh food sourced from the Hilltop Alliance’s distribution network. The aim is to deliver an assortment of fresh produce directly to the doorsteps of those who are unable to easily leave their homes.
To ensure convenience and accessibility, the Home Delivery program has been designed to provide a seamless experience for our housebound neighbors. Using our user-friendly app, volunteers can easily access this Home Delivery opportunity. The scheduled pick-up time between 3-4pm allows for a convenient window for recipients to receive their fresh food while minimizing disruption to everyone’s daily routine.
By offering fresh produce through this Home Delivery initiative, we are addressing the nutritional needs of our housebound neighbors and helping them maintain a healthy diet throughout the summer. This partnership reflects our commitment to creating a caring and supportive community where no one is left behind, especially during challenging times.
