Made from Rescued Bread, Con Pane IPA Fights Hunger

The beer is a collaboration between 412 Food Rescue, Cinderlands Beer Co. and DiAnoia’s Eatery.

412 Food Rescue, Cinderlands Beer Co. and DiAnoia’s Eatery have once again teamed up to release Con Pane, an IPA made from rescued bread. After last year’s successful run, the collaborators have doubled the batch size to 30 barrels.

Brewed with rescued bread from DiAnoia’s Eatery and flaked rye – and using Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Vic Secret hops – this hazy India pale ale (7.2% alcohol by volume) is sold on draft or in 16-oz. cans at Cinderlands; a 4-pack is $18 plus tax. Cans are also available for purchase at DiAnoia’s Eatery, most local Giant Eagle and Whole Foods locations, and other small beer distributors.

Proceeds from the sale of Con Pane support the work of 412 Food Rescue to bring healthy food to those experiencing food insecurity.
